Carolyn Edwards is the President of the Northern Territory Principals’ Association (NTPA). With a 40-year career in education in the Northern Territory, her extensive experience spans urban and rural primary schools, as well as a secondary specialist school. This showcases her adaptability and commitment to education in diverse settings. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to developing and nurturing educational leaders.


Carolyn's involvement with the Northern Territory Principal's Association commenced in 2012, culminating in her current leadership role as President. The NTPA plays a crucial role as a key trusted stakeholder, through the use of a collective voice to influence educational policies, to proudly advocate and promote the varied forms of Principalship and to create a culture which supports and empowers school leaders in the Northern Territory. 


From 2009 to 2019, Carolyn was Principal of Henbury School, a specialist secondary school in Darwin. Building on this experience, she took on the role of Foundation Principal at Zuccoli Primary School from 2019 to 2024, demonstrating her leadership in establishing new educational institutions and mentoring aspiring leaders.
