Bilyana Noel is a mathematics teacher at Casuarina Senior College, where his students are further informed and inspired by the power of numbers, both by routine and the complex, deep, metaphorical meaning that shares a harmonic resonance with ways of Being, Knowing and Doing. 


He served the NSW Department of Education for many years as a Senior Consultant for the northern district of NSW, a teacher in schools in throughout north coast and central NSW, a Senior Lecturer at Southern Cross University, Academic Coordinator at the University of Technology, Sydney, and Course Coordinator at Sydney Tranby Aboriginal College. 


He secured a Masters degree in Indigenous Studies (MIndigS), from Southern Cross University, Lismore, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology (Ed.M), and University Medal from Havard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge, USA, a post-graduate Dip.Ed. and Bachelor of Science degree majoring in pure and applied mathematics, from the University of NSW. 


He has worked with First Nation People in Scandinavia, the Pacific and North America. He has returned to Darwin, the place of his birth, to work at Casuarina Senior College and be closer to his family.
